Head Matters 2025
Head Matters, The Brain Charity’s open day, is returning for 2025. On Wednesday, March 12th, between 10 am and 4 pm, we will welcome hundreds of visitors to our centre on Norton Street, Liverpool. The day will be focused on new technology and digital innovation in neurology with a programme of talks, activities, demonstrations and stalls.

Topic: An introduction to sleep engineering for health and cognition
Time: 3.15 pm – 3.45 pm
Speakers: Panel discussion chaired by our patron, former BBC Radio Merseyside host Roger Phillips, with our CEO Pippa Sargent, our three guest speakers and Neurological Alliance Chief Executive Georgina Carr

Join us in our gym throughout the day for a series of short demonstrations showcasing cutting-edge health and wellness technologies. Here’s what you’ll see:
- ONION.AI: Explore the AI health companion app that’s revolutionizing personal health management – 11.20 am – 11.35 am.
- ADDHERE Technologies: Learn about their ADHD diagnosis app – 12:45 pm – 1pm.
- University of Liverpool: The University of Liverpool will showcase its MetaHumans avatars – 1.30 pm – 1.45 pm.
- Spire: Nevro-spinal cord stimulation for chronic pain relief – 2.55 pm – 3.10 pm.
- HMA Technologies/University of Liverpool: Exoskeleton technology demonstration – 3.45 pm – 4.00 pm
Visitors will also be able to engage with the Minds Reimagined interactive exhibition of Neuro-Hats relating to brain health: a collaboration between artist Helen Lydon and neuroscientist Dr Joshua Kearney. Anyone interested in the work of The Brain Charity or affected by a neurological condition is welcome to join us – the day is open to all.
