Join us for The Brain Charity’s annual 'Stroll & Roll' on Saturday 2nd June. Stroll & Roll is a sponsored journey from Otterspool to The Pier Head.

It will be a lovely summer trip along Liverpool’s beautiful Waterfront that's suitable for people with a wide variety of mobility needs. If you're unable to walk long distances, if you are a wheelchair user or need mobility support then we have ensured that there are accessible routes with varied distances to choose from. It’s not about the distance travelled, it’s about getting involved.

Stroll & Roll is a great way to raise money, but is also a goal to aim for if you're looking to get more active. You are welcome to walk, jog, run, cycle or scoot as long as you join us for a laugh on our regular comfort breaks along the way.

The distance from Otterspool to the Pier Head is about 4½ miles (7½ km) and takes in views of the southern docks, the Albert Dock and the magnificent Pier Head buildings. We'll start from the Sitting Bull Statue on Grassendale Road at noon.

There are several other meeting points along the way and you can join us at any time. Our end point will be The Beatles statue at the Pier Head, near the Pier Head Ferry Terminal.

Start 12pm: Meeting Point One - The Sitting Bull Statue, Grassendale Road, L19 3QN.

Approx 1pm: Meeting Point Two & First Comfort Break - The Britannia Inn, Riverside Drive L3 4AZ. (45 minute break) We will stop for a bathroom break and a quick lunch if you would like to eat in the pub, or have a packed lunch outside.

Approx 2:45pm: Meeting Point Three & Second Comfort Break - The Liverpool Yacht Club, Coburg Warf L3 4BP. (15 minute break)

Approx 3:30pm: The End - Beatles statue Pier Head.

The route is not circular, but there are frequent buses from Liverpool ONE bus station (82) to Aigburth Hall Avenue or trains from Central to Aigburth. It is approximately 10-15 minutes to our start point at the Sitting Bull Statue from the bus stop or train station.

Please click here to download your sponsorship form, or call in at The Brain Charity reception to get one.

You can also set up your own Justgiving page for the event here and tell all your friends about it to get them on board.

NOTE: The journey from The Sitting Bull in Otterspool to The Britannia Pub is fully accessible and you may choose to just complete this section. The final part of the route is not fully accessible (see our guide below). There are a number of uneven surfaces and a small amount of steps. We have a portable wheelchair ramp which should assist with making this more accessible, or you can join the walk for the final 1.4 mile from the Yacht club.
