The Dystonia Society's support group meets at regular intervals at The Brain Charity and is open to anyone affected by the condition. This volunteer-led group provides an opportunity to meet others with dystonia, share experiences, discuss your concerns and get information on living with all types of dystonia. New members are always welcome.
Turn It Up To 11 - Film Nights At The Brain Charity
“Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.” The Brain Charity will be hosting our first Film Night, on the 27th of October, just in time for Halloween! As such, we have decided to be spooktacular with our first screening, and will be showing Sleepy Hollow!
Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder which is estimated to affect at least 70,000 people in the UK. In most cases the cause is not known and unfortunately there is not yet a cure; however, effective treatments, coping strategies and support are available.
A Galloping Event of Horsey Happiness! Starter’s orders and they’re off, on the 24th of November, for what is on track once again to be an odds on favourite. Budding jockeys can trot to the paddock from 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
