Meet some of the people who've done something wonderful for us recently:
Sheffield HCS SocietyMany neurological conditions can cause swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). In March, a group of Speech and Language Therapy students at the University of Sheffield spent 5 days eating only a pureed food diet to help increase awareness of this important issue for Swallowing Awareness Day. They also used the opportunity to support The Brain Charity and raised an incredible £1,832 - more than double their original target!
Crosby Marine Slimming World
Members of Crosby Marine Slimming World Group have donated pounds whilst loosing pounds and have raised over £200 for The Brain Charity by
donating their spare change when they attend their weekly group sessions at Marine Football Club in Crosby. Group consultant Donna Marie Evans
keeps one of our donation tubs near the till so members can support us when they attend the group - what a great idea!
The University of Liverpool's Neurological Society held a talent show in aid of The Brain Charity for the 2nd year running in February. The wealth of talent
was incredible and the judges had a tough job to decide on which final three acts would go forward to the public vote. Congratulations to the eventual
winner, singersongwriter, Shan Kundu. The night raised a wonderful £480.
These are just some of the people who've done something incredible for us recently. Our sincere thanks go to each and every one of our supporters
who give their time and energy to raise much needed funds and awareness for The Brain Charity.
