Message from Margie Hughes, Liverpool & Merseyside Dystonia Support Group:

"Due to the Coronavirus/Covid-19, I have cancelled our meeting at The Brain Charity, on 18th April.

If anyone knows of any people that might have attended this meeting and is not on Facebook please let them know.

Hope to see you all soon and keep safe

Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder which is estimated to affect at least 70,000 people in the UK. In most cases the cause is not known and unfortunately there is not yet a cure; however, effective treatments, coping strategies and support are available.

The Dystonia Society's support group meets at regular intervals at The Brain Charity and is open to anyone affected by the condition. This volunteer-led group provides an opportunity to meet others with dystonia, share experiences, discuss your concerns and get information on living with all types of dystonia. New members are always welcome.

Meetings take place from 11.30am-2pm, three Saturdays per year, please check our events calendar for the date of the next meeting. Email the organisers for more details.
