Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder which is estimated to affect at least 70,000 people in the UK. In most cases the cause is not known and unfortunately there is not yet a cure; however, effective treatments, coping strategies and support are available.
The Liverpool Brain Tumour Support Group is a friendly and sociable group for those affected by a brain tumour, and their families. Meetings are held at The Brain Charity on the final Monday of the month, 1-3pm (except for Bank Holidays).
The Merseyside support group of the Spinal Injuries Association is open to everyone touched by spinal cord injury within the North-West area. The group meets from 2:30pm until 5pm on the first Wednesday of every month at The Brain Charity, Norton Street, Liverpool, L3 8LR.
