In light of the news today that the full easing of lockdown restrictions will be postponed by at least four more weeks, we have unfortunately made the decision to postpone some of our events.
Pamper Night has been rescheduled to Friday, August 6th.
The Jumble Sale is still set to go ahead as planned this Saturday, June 19th, with strict social distancing guidelines in place & numbers limited.
We will provide updates on events scheduled to take place later this year as soon as we can.
For now, all our regular weekly and monthly activities will continue as normal as these are already running with reduced capacities to allow for social distancing.
The Brain Food Café will continue to serve clients, volunteers, room hire clients and staff who are already in the building, but won’t reopen fully to the wider public yet.
Coffee mornings will continue to take place in the same format they have this month, with the first one of the month as a hybrid event which must be booked in advance for in-person attendees and the second of the month purely virtual on MS Teams.
We would like to remind all visitors to our building that masks or face coverings are still mandatory unless you have a medical exemption, and to follow social distancing rules at all times.
Tui Benjamin, Head of Communications at The Brain Charity, said: “Cases in Liverpool are on the rise, so we need to be particularly vigilant at the moment to protect our clients and volunteers, many of whom are physically vulnerable, and help keep rates of COVID-19 down in our city overall.
“We will monitor Government guidance closely and hope to be able to reopen our building at full capacity and celebrate the end of social distancing later this summer, when it is safe to do so.
