News

All face to face contact with children & young people has ceased due to COVID-19 so The Brain Changer Arts Project has moved online. We are offering tutorials through The Brain Charity’s online platforms – website, YouTube and social media channels – for both our Physiotherapy through Dance and Occupational Therapy through Art and Craft workshops.

The Brain Changer Dance Videos on YouTube will focus each week on mobility and strength through a different creative theme. One of our goals is to show families what they can do at home and how Physiotherapy and Dance combined can transition into this setting. We will show families how they can use household objects as props and also explore how a child can set individual goals to support their progress.

The Brain Changer Art & Craft Videos on YouTube sessions will focus each week on improving hand and arm skills through a different artistic and creative theme. Through these tutorials, we can target specific activities such as the use of two hands, lifting objects, gripping and applying pressure through folding. Look out for videos, crib sheets to guide people through the tasks and Occupational Therapy advice sheets.

We want to continue to support the children and young people that we set out to reach at the beginning of our project in whatever way we can. If you have any questions for us, or dance or art challenges that you would like to set us, then please contact Joanne, the Project Co-ordinator, at: This email address is being protected from spambots.
