How does The Brain Charity lottery work?
We’ve partnered with Unity Lottery, making it easy for you to take part and support our cause.
- Every Saturday, your unique lottery number (issued by Unity Lottery) is entered into the draw.
- Winning numbers are randomly selected, and if your digits match 3, 4, 5, or all 6 numbers in the correct sequence, you win a prize!
- You can enter as many times as you like – each £1 entry increases your chances of winning while supporting our work.
How to enter
Each entry costs just £1 per week. You can play easily via direct debit, card, or cheque.
Anyone in Britain aged 16 or over can play. Unfortunately, due to Gaming Board legislation, people living outside of mainland Britain (including Northern Ireland) cannot enter.
What happens if I win?
Winners are contacted automatically by Unity Lottery – no need to claim! Prize cheques are sent directly to lucky winners.
What are my odds of winning? Prizes are based on a match system:
- 6 digits in order = £25,000
- 5 digits in order = £1,000
- 4 digits in order = £25
- 3 digits in order = 5 free entries

The Brain Charity provides crucial support to the 1 in 6 people living with a neurological condition in the UK. By playing, you help fund:
✔ Free counselling sessions – In 2024 alone, we delivered 2,672 counselling sessions, helping individuals and couples manage mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and grief.
✔ Employment support & confidence coaching – We empower individuals to rebuild confidence and find work. Our Value of You programme has helped 199 clients boost self-esteem and work readiness, with 54% making significant progress toward employment.
✔ Legal and benefits advice – We provide expert guidance on welfare benefits, housing, employment rights, and financial support, with a 93% success rate on benefits applications in 2024.
✔ Social activities & support groups – Our community centre offers creative wellbeing sessions, coffee mornings, maths classes, and more, ensuring individuals and carers can connect, share experiences, and support one another.
✔ Neuro Gym – Opened in 2023, our fully accessible gym offers specialist equipment, physiotherapy, and adapted exercise programs to improve physical and mental health. Since its launch, we’ve welcomed over 200 members, with 70% of users reporting improvements after just 3 months.
✔ The Brain Food Café – A warm, welcoming space in Liverpool offering nutritious, affordable meals tailored to the needs of those with neurological conditions. Open to the public, it fosters community and inclusion.
✔ Neurodiversity training – Our lived-experience-led training supports organisations in creating inclusive workplaces for neurodivergent employees, covering conditions like ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and more.

1. Cost of entry
Each entry into The Brain Charity Lottery costs £1 per week.
2. Draw day
The lottery draw takes place every Saturday.
3. Age restrictions
You must be 18 years or older to participate in The Brain Charity Lottery.
4. Licence and promoter information
The Brain Charity Lottery is operated under licence from the Gambling Commission. The promoter of this lottery is Unity Lottery, on behalf of The Brain Charity, registered charity number: No 1114999.
5. External lottery manager
The lottery is managed by Unity Lottery, a platform operated by Sterling Management Centre Limited, a licensed External Lottery Manager (ELM) regulated by the Gambling Commission.
6. Odds of winning a prize
- Match 3 digits: 1 in 69 (5 free entries into the next draw)
- Match 4 digits: 1 in 823 (£25 prize)
- Match 5 digits: 1 in 18,518 (£1,000 prize)
- Match 6 digits: 1 in 1,000,000 (£25,000 jackpot)
7. Profit split breakdown
For every £1 entry:
- 50p goes directly to The Brain Charity to support people with neurological conditions.
- The remaining 50p is used for prizes and administration costs.
