We recently ran an information day at The Walton Centre to launch our new-look Brain Hub.
Link Workers Amanda, Joy and Maryam were on hand to offer advice and information to outpatients and hospital staff about the work that The Brain Charity does. We were also joined by Consultant in Rehab Medicine Dr Ganesh Bavikatte, Business Manager for NW Assistive Technology Tia Stone and Sue Curran, Deputy Clinical Business Manager, who all wanted to wish us well with our new set-up.
Having a base at The Walton Centre enables us to have face-to-face contact with patients and their families, friends and carers who are visiting clinics or who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The range of services mirrors what we provide at our Norton Street base and we are able to refer people on to whichever service they require as well as give instant help and advice. Sue Love, our new Services Manager, is delighted with the bold new logo and colours: “It makes our presence much more visible and we’re delighted with the transformation. Hopefully people will find it much easier to locate us now.”
